This workshop is here to guide beginner and intermediate watercolourists in their journey to:
Learn about the fundamentals of colours and pigments in watercolour
Start using artist grade watercolours (or transition from student grade to artist grade watercolours) without breaking the bank
Level up their paintings by using more sophisticated colour palette
You will learn:
Fundamentals and applications of colour theory
Criteria and techniques for selecting and testing your limited colour palette
What colours to buy (and not to buy) to get the most bang for your bucks
Enhancing mood and storytelling through selective application of colours
Working with colours can be really therapeutic and fun!
No drawing skill required!
Materials provided:
Artist grade (Winsor & Newton, Daniel Smith) watercolour limited palette to take home
Artist grade watercolour paper to work on
Quality watercolour brushes (for use during workshop only)
Pencils, erasers, and basic drawing materials (for use during workshop only)
What to bring:
A colour palette inspiration - choose one of the following, please bring the physical object or print version instead of digital copy/photo! (e.g. patterned textile, scarf, interior design magazine, fashion magazine, wrapping paper, chiyogami paper, graphic poster) Pick something that has no more than 5 colours.

Afternoon Session: Making your own unique Holiday Card (2pm-4.30pm)
$40 (Regular), $38 (Early Bird)
Put your now unique and sophisticated colour palette to work in this session by making your own holiday card. Choose from an array of simple drawings and designs that will make your colour palette shine! No drawing skill required!
This workshop can be taken as continuation to the Colour workshop, or as a standalone.
You will learn:
Basic composition and picture making
Guided drawing: simple holiday-themed objects and scenes
Basic watercolour technique (wet-in-wet, glazing, flat washes, masking etc.)
Materials provided:
Artist grade (Winsor & Newton, Daniel Smith) watercolour limited palette (for use during workshop only, unless you also participate in the colour workshop where you get your custom palette to bring home)
Artist grade watercolour paper to work on (15x20 cm)
Quality watercolour brushes (for use during workshop only)
Pencils, erasers, and basic drawing materials (for use during workshop only)
You will get to bring home or send the finished card(s) to your loved ones!
